BIKING RULES PSA
COMPETITION & FESTIVAL
   
What better way to build the Biking Rules Campaign than through the voices of creative artists, photographers, and filmmakers that will help convey the Biking Rules Street Code, promote and increase cycling in on our cities, and improve how we envision the streets we live by everyday.

Contestants have a chance to win up to $4,000 in cash, a new bike, bike gear, packs, video cameras and much more!

Category 1: The Biking Rules Street Code

Cyclists, as the fastest-growing commuter group in NYC, are the most obvious ambassadors for calmer and more livable streets. The Biking Rules Street Code makes a simple proposition: as our potential to cause harm increases on the streets, so does our responsibility to others. We're looking for fun and creative messages to promote the Biking Rules Street Code. The Biking Rules Street Code includes videos that address:

    * How to Lead By Example
    * Tips and Tricks For Bike Commuters
    * Why and How to Use Bike Lanes and Paths
    * Biking Rules of the Road

Category 2: Why Biking Rules!

We know--and studies show--that more bicyclists make cycling safer and safer cycling will encourage more people to get out and ride. This is a virtuous cycle that we can work together to continue. In this effort, the public's perception of cyclists matters as much as, if not more than, any new bike lane or scores of new riders. Submit Photos or PSA videos to help us reach out to new and old riders alike and encourage them to get out and ride!
