Submit DIY Videos

Submit up to 3 DIY PSA Videos that help promote "The Street Code and/or "Why Biking Rules!"

DIY Video Submission Guidelines
  • The Street Code submission length must not exceed 30 seconds
  • Why Biking Rules! submission length must not exceed 4 minutes
  • All DIY PSA Videos must be submitted as digital files either as a download from sendspace.com or on a DVD for review

Biking Rules Green Submission Mail-In Details

We encourage artists to help us reduce waste and shipping cost using the following guidelines:

  • Package discs in a paper slip case, not a hard plastic case
  • Ship in a stiff cardboard or other recyclable mailer with no bubble wrap
  • Print "Do Not Bend" on the front of envelope
*If you require the submission disc back please include a pre-paid recyclable mailer to your return address

Be sure to not send CDs or DVDs unprotected in any type of packaging! They need a fitted paper slip case to prevent scratching.


Prescreening Policy

Entries are accepted in the following formats: Digital JPEGs, PNGs and GIFs for Photos, Quicktime files for Videos, DVD or CD

Please note for Video submissions: If you submit by DVD region free discs (NTSC format) are preferred for prescreening purposes. PAL is not accepted. Please do not send Blu-ray discs.

Prescreening entries:
All submissions mailed must be labeled with video or photo titles, artist(s) name(s), contact phone & email. Please place discs in a paper slip case/envelope, no hard plastic cases of any kind please.

Do Not Include

  • 16mm, VHS, or Photo Prints
  • Plastic DVD cases (paper slip cases please!)
  • Press kits of any kind (Press kits are not viewed or kept during the prescreening process. If your submission is accepted, you will be notified of how to submit your press material)
  • Packing popcorn

The festival program will be announced in September, 2009. All submitting artists will be notified at that time by the email provided at the time of submission.

If your PSA video or photo is selected for the festival program, you must provide an exhibition copy (Hi-Res Tiff files for Photos, Hi-Res Quicktime files or master tape formats of MiniDv, BetaSP, HDV, or HDCam for Video submissions) by October 10, 2009 unless otherwise informed.
